This piece has been woven on my loom in Bristol.
This piece has been woven using a technique called Passementerie. Passementerie is an endangered craft. It was used in luxury, stately homes from the 17th century onwards. The technique is mainly used for trims - think tassels, cords and fringes!
Woven with yarn from Manos del Uruguay, recycled cotton and vintage threads.
Oak hanger has been crafted from sustainable wood by local woodworker, with recessed keyhole fixings on back.
Dimensions are approx. 34cm (W) X 32cm (H).
This is a handmade product, colours may vary compared to photos.
Items are for decorative purpose only and should be hung out of the reach of babies, small children and pets. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries. Thanks for looking!
