This piece has been woven using a technique called Passementerie. Passementerie is an endangered craft. It was used in luxury, stately homes from the 17th century onwards. The technique is mainly used for trims - think tassels, cords and fringes!

Woven with unbleached, undyed cotton. This is the least processed version of cotton you can get hold of – so as eco as I could find. Undyed cotton cord was used in the centre pieces and raffia for the outside scallops. Raffia is sourced from the leaves of the Raffia Palm. It's biodegradable, it's vegan, it’s water-repellant! Made from nothing but wood fibre, 100% Paper.

This is a handmade product, colours may vary compared to photos, although I have tried to photograph them as best I could, in natural light.

Items are for decorative purpose only and should be hung out of the reach of babies, small children and pets.
